On 16th March 2003,Hulu Selangor Community College (KKHS) began its operation in a temporary campus in Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Taman Bunga Raya 1, Bukit Beruntung, Rawang, Selangor Darul Ehsan. KKHS was established to coincide with the government policies to produce more skilled workers to turn the goals of Vision 2020 turns into reality.
After almost 5 years in operation, KKHS has moved its temporary campus to Apartment Dahlia and Apartment Kenanga, Taman Bunga Raya, Bukit Beruntung, Rawang, Selangor on 1st January 2008. Both temporary campus locations are located about 50 km from Kuala Lumpur, and connected with the Lebuhraya Utara Selatan (PLUS), heading to the North Malaysia Peninsular.
July 2009, was a historical moment for KKHS because after moving to several places, KKHS finally acquired a new permanent campus. The new campus is located in Taman Perniagaan Kelah, Batang Kali, Selangor. It was then, in the same year that KKHS had also began opening for intake.
From the start, KKHS has been led by 5 Directors. Haji Zulkifli bin Ariffin was the first Director, who had served from March 2003 until February 2004. His efforts brought the college to an excelling top point. This was continued by Dr.Ahmad Fadzil bin Arif, who served for two years starting from March 2004. Following this, the legacy of success from both directors was continued by En. Mohd Zin bin Mamat starting from March 2006 until May 2009. Then, in May 2009 until December 2011, the chair of Director was led by En. Roslan bin Noordin. However, the chair of Director for 2012 was then given to Mr. M. Azmi bin Hj Ruzali to provide the college with a new and fresh image.
